Starship 5500 Barracks Complex Renovation

This project involved the design/build renovation of an existing Starship Initial Entry Training Facility barracks complex. The project includes design/build renovations of 205,000 SF of interior space, including two separate wash buildings. There are covered training areas under each company wing, which total around 60,000 SF combined.

The work is comprised of renovating the Battalion Headquarters Classroom, Company Operations areas, covered training areas, laundry rooms, sleeping bays, classrooms, cadre support spaces and other miscellaneous spaces. The building system repairs include walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, windows, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, domestic water, sanitary sewer, electrical & lighting distribution systems, fire alarm, and Energy Management. Construction is phased and the facility will qualify for USGBC LEED Certified on completion.
