This project involved the reconstruction of 10 gravel and natural surface roads within Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge that totaled 36.4 miles. The project scope included grading of all roadways; filling of holes, low spots, ruts, and washed out sections; placing of embankment material and geotextile where unsuitable materials are encountered; and placing aggregate surface course on damaged roads within the refuge.
